Debit Cards 


A Fusion Member Debit Card provides you with easy access to your banking information and funds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  With a Member Debit Card you can easily:


  • Withdraw cash from an ATM, check account balances and transfer funds.
  • Pay for goods and services immediately without using cash at any retail location that accepts Interac payment.  Your account is automatically debited by entering your PIN number for your card, or enabling Flash/Tap technology.
  • Access your online and telephone banking to pay bills, transfer funds and check account balances.

Debit Card Security



Our Fusion Member Debit Cards contain chip-enabled technology, making them extremely secure and protected against fraud tactics such as skimming, duplicating and electronic pickpocketing. When you make a payment with a Fusion Member Debit Card, the only data transmitted is payment transaction codes, not confidential bank account details.  

Other ways Member Debit Cards are safeguarded:

  • Debit card payment is accurate and convenient – funds are immediately debited from your account.
  • Each card contains dual security: combination of the chip and Personal Identification Number.
  • Card must be held 4 cm from POS terminal, protecting you from making unexpected transactions.

Lost or Stolen Card

If your card is lost, stolen or compromised, the number for after hours reporting is 1-888-277-1043.

Please remember to cancel your card immediately if:

  • Your Member Debit Card is lost or stolen
  • Your card is retained by an ATM
  • You notice unauthorized activity on your accounts

During business hours – contact your branch.

Flash/Tap Technology



Fusion Member Debit Cards contain the latest Interac Flash technology.  Interac Flash is a contactless debit solution that allows consumers to pay for goods and services “in a flash.”  As a card holder, simply tap your debit card on the terminal of retailers that provide contactless payments instead of entering your PIN code.  It’s as safe and secure as the other Interac Payment Solutions.  Cards can be used at merchants across Canada who display the Interac Flash logo.

Tap Limits



As an added layer of protection, Fusion Member Debit Cards have a limit of $250 per transaction when making purchases using Flash/Tap.  Any transaction over $250 will require the card holder to enter their card Personal Identification Number (PIN) to complete the transaction.

Member debit cards also contain a cumulative contactless limit of $400.  A cumulative limit is the value of all contactless transactions made with your card since the last time you entered your PIN. 

How do I reset my cumulative contactless limit?  Once the $400 limit is reached, as the card holder, you can reset your limit back to zero by entering your PIN when making a transaction on your debit card.  This confirms that you are the authorized cardholder.

Ding Free and Ding Free App



As a member of Fusion Credit Union, you’re part of one of the largest surcharge-free ATM networks in the country.  Credit Union members have access to over 1,800 surcharge-free ATM’s across Canada.

“Ding free” means that Fusion members do not pay surcharges at credit union and other participating ATM’s across Canada for withdrawals, deposits and balance inquiries.  Look for the “ding-free” sign on your ATM to be surcharge free.

Mobile Wallet
